Fishing On Charters Around Key West

We've had some great fishing here on Key West lately, despite the Winter. Apparently the warm weather has helped to keep the fish here that would normally swim South for the Winter. Our fishing charter captains are real happy with business so far this year.

The offshore fishing on charters around Key West has been spectacular. An angler caught a wahoo that was over 100 lbs. I didn't know they got that big! King fish and smaller mackerel seem plentiful out there.

We've had reports in the flats of tarpon, permit and pompano which are great catches, especially during Winter months.

There seem to be plenty of red snapper out there and they're really getting big due to the extensive restrictions on keeping them the last few years. The reefs are also teeming with yellowtail & mutton snapper and black grouper.
